In August 2016 we will try to run the Spartan Ultra Beast in Hawaii, the longest defined distance of the Spartan Race series (–> Learn more about the different regular lenth of Spartes Races). In preparation of this 12,5 hours race, we participated in the Spartan Race Workout Tour 2016 in Munich! 🙂
The workout took part at Bugasee (Riemer Sea) in Munich on 20th February – and as the time of the year already vageuly percepts, it was 1° Celsius and alternatley snowing and raining…With the wind blowing the snow in our faces, it was literaly freezing. But as soon as we started warming up with jumping jacks and a little bit of running, we got warmer and motivated.
Thanks to the great support of our team Munich Elite Warriors, it was a lot of fun! 🙂
Spartan SGX Coach Uwe motivated us for variable uphill and intervall running units alternated with burpees, lunges and bear crawls. Despite the – some people would say “Spartan”, we would say simply awful – weather there were almost 80 people. Some of our team members were running the “No Guts No Glory” race at the same day, where they had to cross several water obstacles, so no need for “Mimimi” for us. 🙂
Our friend vom Don’t Quit took a nice little video – have fun watching!
